Will Cosby served as a missionary in Australia from 1963 until 1973. Operation Somebody Cares was founded in 1973 by missionary Will Cosby. After returning to America for health reasons, the Lord led Will Cosby to work with Jack Chick and Chick Publications from 1973 until 1993. In 1995, Will Cosby was led to move to Romania where he served for three years until 1998. In 1998, Will Cosby moved back to the U.S.A.

In 2005, Will Cosby went to heaven and Charles Harrison, the pastor of Mountain View Baptist Church, has become the new leader of OSC. God has used the ministry of Operation Somebody Cares to send more than 20 million illustrated gospel booklets and scriptures to 35 different countries. They have recorded over 40,000 personal salvation decisions as a result and 30 churches have been started.
